Oracle Apps DBA required to work with a Government Department. This is an initial 6 month contract, In Scope of IR35, paying up to £600 per day. This is a remote contract until further notice (London based offices)We are looking for an Oracle Apps DBA to join one of our delivery teams. We are on a mission to modernise, maintain and make better digital services This role is to work on maintaining a number of applications built with several Oracle products (mainly Oracle E-Business Suite, SOA, OBIEE, Portal, IAS, Weblogic, OHS), helping the existing team to better understand the core components of the system, reduce technical debt, advise on component patching (including application patching), and improving supportability, including monitoring and alerting. Some out of hours work is likely required for this role.Essential Skills/Experience*Oracle Apps DBA - with experience of at least some of the above components*Oracle software patching and upgrading*Oracle database versions 10g/11g/12c on Unix/Linux*Experience in working on RMAN/OEM*Experience of concurrent managers*Weblogic Clustering and JVM tuning*Performance monitoring and tuning of the application and the database*Working knowledge of Git and GitHub*Experience working in Agile product teams, preferably within Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks*Strong troubleshooting skills, with a mindset of continuous improvement*Excellent mentoring, coaching and skills transfer capabilitiesDesirable Experience*Oracle running in AWS environmentPlease apply should you meet the above criteriaBadenoch + Clark acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
