Job Description

Michael Page Logistic are looking to recruit an Transport / Operations manager for our client based in West London.Client DetailsOur client is a technology-based business and a disruptor to the logistics market across the UK and Europe.DescriptionThis person will lead a team of transport coordinators covering all demand whilst keeping a high service level. The business operates a non-asset transport network which means they have to manage supply and demand levels closely.

  • Ability to handle multiple operational tasks, prioritising those which are time sensitive whilst having good commercial awareness.
  • Leading the operations team in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail and remaining calm under pressure.
  • Maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit and driving innovation amongst the team
  • Demonstrating exceptional coaching and mentoring skills to lead your team
  • Helping to build and lead a best-in-class continuous improvement strategy/ framework
  • Work with key business stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing programme of change
  • Set relevant KPIs and evaluate the working performances of staff to improve the productivity and efficiency
    • ProfileThe successful candidate will have management experience and be used to working in a high pressure environment. The candidate will also need to monitor team performance, understand what process needs to be improved and set up a plan. Continuous improvement lies at the heart of everything and you must be committed to delivering both incremental and breakthrough improvements in products, services, and processes. You will work cohesively with Customer Service, Product, and Operations teams to develop and deliver a plan for continuous improvement for processes and strategy. Candidates with experience in transport/logistics will be preferred but not essential.Job OfferYou will join an exciting and established company with a start up mentality.
