Events Manager / Operations Manager£36,000 Pro Rata + Excellent BenefitsHybrid Working Are you an experienced events manager with exhibition and conference experienceGlobal market leading media events business seeks highly talented Operations Manager to take full ownership of a number of leading b2b conferences on a short term contract (4 months - might go perm).Our client is a leading media events business running b2b conferences across tech, AI, beauty, womans health and fintech and finance.The need has arisen to recruit a talented Events Manger who can take responsibility and run their own b2b events portfolio.They are looking to hire a resourceful, enthusiastic and highly organised colleague with experience in event management, imnportantly from a b2b conference background.The Events Manager will manage the end-to-end delivery together with a number of smaller events.Role Responsibilities: Events Manager

  • Overseeing conference event delivery - with end to end accountability for operational management of all events including customer journeys and improving onsite experience
  • Maximising the profitability, sustainability and quality of each event through effective procurement
  • Project managing events and control costs to deliver within budget
  • Managing end-to-end delivery of events each year of varying size, format and complexity across a range of geographies
  • Responsible for risk and compliance at events - ensure security plans are adhered to and that each event has a full risk assessment (including risks to consider around the return to live events)
  • Manage ad-hoc projects, both departmental or event related as directed by the Director, Sales Operations and Senior Operations Manager
Profile Required: Events Manager
  • Experience of event managing conferences
  • Strong negotiation and contracting skills with venues and suppliers
  • Experience in risk policies affecting international events such as VAT, modern slavery, anti-bribery, trade sanctions, data protections, security and compliance as well as the event risk management & awareness framework
  • Proactive and takes initiative by being able to identify problems, research and evaluate options creatively and innovatively.
  • Self-motivator and team player
  • Confident decision-making, thought leadership and a focus on finding solutions and achieving results by taking accountability and ownership of decisions made
