Job Description

Operations Executive will support the delivery of the operations and activities for a range of products including Irish UCITS, UK Investment Trusts and Cayman offshore hedge funds. They will be responsible for designated investment teams within the organizationand a key link between them and the rest of the company.Client DetailsThe financial services client based in the city of London is an asset manager founded in 2001, and has grown steadily and currently has 16 autonomous investment teams managing specialist, active and capacity constrained portfolios, with combined AUM of £19billion (as at 30 June 2022).DescriptionThe main duties the Operations Executive will carry out are as follows:

  • Fund management team and investment product support
  • Managing queries from various Polar departments
  • Resolving mismatch and failing trades settlement
  • Pre-trade compliance rules monitoring and review
  • Long and short significant holdings disclosure to relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Period end funds exposure and performance reports production and ad-hoc reporting request.
ProfileThe requirements for the Operations Executive are as follows:
  • Degree or equivalent with 2:1 (minimum)
  • 2 years experience in Operations
  • Professional qualifications (such as IMC and CFA) preferred, or a willingness to study towards. Further study is encouraged and funded.
  • Understanding of the trade life cycle
  • Awareness of the asset management industry including asset classes, investor types, distribution channels, fund and regulatory structures, the competitor landscape and collective investment products
