Job Description

(Especially if youre ready to move across to a position that takes away anydirect client facing responsibilities)Were recruiting for a position within Operational Support, a key part of this very successful travel organisation. This department is there at the end of the phone or email for Travel Consultants within the business who need help and support with specifictasks, largely centering around GDS & system based queries such as ticketing, groups fares, where to find information etc (but could be absolutely anything!)Youll be working alongside a cohesive and experienced team who are looking to bring on YOUR skill set to help them provide an exceptional service to the travel consultants they support.

  • Youll be the sort of person who spots when someone else is struggling to get to grips with a process.
  • Youll look to see what you can do to help, block time in your diary to run a training session or set up a couple of practice exercises for them
  • Youll be able to relate to Travel Consultants of varying experience across the Leisure, VIP, Corporate and Luxury sectors
  • Youll enjoy focusing on your own self development and training needs so if there are any gaps in your knowledge, you can quickly get up to speed.
Working in a support role requires a patient personality with an innate ability to connect with and understand the different ways in people learn. It may be quicker to do some tasks yourself but youll enjoy empowering others to take responsibility and learnfor themselves.The role of Operational Support Specialist works to a hybrid model - youll ideally need to be comfortable spending part of the week in the London office and the rest from home, allowing you to complete office based tasks and work alongside your team.This is a role for an EXPERIENCED Galileo travel professional, any knowledge of Sabre and Amadeus is a bonus but its the deep Galileo expertise thats key here. Youll also have a brilliant head for airlines fares, be able to read and interpret those (sometimesconfusing!) rules and anything you come across that you dont know, youll be up for learning.If this sounds like the kind of role youd like to move in to, please do get in touch!
