Operational Risk Manager

Our client is an SME finance banking group based in London.DescriptionThe Operational Risk Managers responsibilities include:

Managing the design and delivery of an effective 2LoD operational risk management oversight and reporting capability covering but not limited to; business and technology resilience, IT/cyber, third-party management, change management and process mapping.
Providing insightful risk analysis on the performance of operational risk management escalating issues and trends to senior management and appropriate governance committees.

In collaboration with the 2LoD Enterprise Risk Team you will also provide oversight and challenge to the outputs from the 1LoD assessment and management of operational risks and controls through the Banks Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processas well as analyse risk management information to identify risk trends, including emerging risks, through detailed analysis and deep dive reviews, to drive improvements across the banks internal control environment.

ProfileThe successful Operational Risk Manager:

Must have experience in an operational risk management role in the public or private sector, preferably in the financial services sector along with knowledge and experience in operational risk management principles and practices.
Experience preparing and presenting risk management and/or compliance reports and analysis for senior management and have previously worked with other assurance providers such as Internal Audit.
Experience in using risk management and compliance software systems is essential
Experience and/or qualifications in one or more of the following governance related disciplines; risk management, compliance or internal audit would be a distinct advantage.
