As a future Operational Due Diligence Analyst, you will report to our Senior Operational Due Diligence Analyst, and you will be part of AXA IM Prime. DISCOVER your opportunity The Operational Due Diligence Analyst will work within the existing Operational Due Diligence team. This role primarily involves performing initial and ongoing monitoring reviews of the external managers across the AXA Prime platform. AXA Prime invests andadvises in private debt, hedge fund, private equity, and infrastructure funds and strategies through their external managers team. Your role and responsibilities will include:

• Operational Due Diligence - Initial (candidate manager and fund) reviews
• Conduct operational due diligence on candidate managers and other investment partners, including:
  • Management companys business operating model, organisation, staffing, legal structure
  • Investment and control teams experience and background
  • Trading, trade processing, trade reconciliation processes, IT systems & cybersecurity.
  • Fund valuation processes, fund administration
  • Internal control, regulatory and compliance
  • Cross check information provided by managers with independent sources (prime brokers, administrators, background checks, etc.)
• Conduct operational due diligence on candidate funds, including:
  • Review candidate fund legal documentation including fund legal structure and tax set-up
  • Review of fund terms including subscription, redemption and expense terms
  • Review candidate funds third-party service providers - prime brokers, auditors, funds administrator, directors
  • Review of the fund audited financial statement, over a 3-year period if available
• Perform AML/KYC due diligence review of manager and fund
• Written operational due diligence reports for presentation to the Investment Committee
• Operational Due Diligence - Monitoring activities for approved Managers on the AXA Prime platform:
  • Distribution and review of manager annual ODD questionnaire
  • Conduct annual monitoring reviews with invested managers to ensure risk profile of the manager has not changed since the last ODD review
  • Review of the funds most recent audited financial statement
  • Media monitoring, escalating any negative news stories pertaining to the manager or fund to the Head of ODD and Front Office Team
  • Written updated operational due diligence reports for presentation to the Investment Committee
• Other Operational Due Diligence responsibilities:
  • Assess and advise on corporate actions of the underlying AXA funds
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required
  • Update and maintain the ODD database
  • Maintain contacts with professionals and service providers in the alternative investment industry on legal and due diligence matters

Your ProfileSHARE your unique expertise We welcome different combinations of skills & experiences. Your qualifications and experience:

• University graduate with a finance related or legal degree
• In-depth experience in operational due diligence within a fund of hedge fund platform or at a hedge fund, a private equity platform or fund, or other applicable fund management experience

Your knowledge and skills:

• Understanding of investment managers legal and operational setup
• Understanding of fund legal and tax structures in various regulatory jurisdictions
• Accountancy and taxation knowledge
• Candidate must be efficient, proactive, well organised and have high attention to detail
• Ability to identify operational deficiencies and knowledge of operational best practices
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Candidate must have a solution driven approach
• Capacity to work well in a small team
