Job Description

Job Title: Office RunnerTerm: 3 month fixed term contractHours: Tuesday to Saturday OR Sunday to Thursday, 9am-5pm (flexible)Location: SohoSalary: £20k - £22k per annumExciting opportunity to join a fast-paced family office. This is a perfect entry level role for someone who is keen to take their first step into a career as a PA, or gain experience supporting a busy office.We are looking for two candidates to support the office 7 days a week across two 5-day rotas - Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday to Thursday. Typical working hours will be 9am to 5pm, but flexibility is essential for this support role. During down-time, flexibility will be reciprocated with regards to weekend cover.This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who relishes new challenges daily and be willing to roll their sleeves up and turn their attentions to a huge variety of tasks. We are close knit team who all strive to provide the very best service and support, we are looking for someone with a similar drive and worth ethic.Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Running errands, i.e. dry cleaning collections, picking up lunches, making deliveries, taking mail to Post Office
  • Personal shopping/ordering online
  • Ad hoc research tasks, presenting sourced information
  • Helping to arrange gifts, flowers, balloons, etc
  • Assisting with management of London based properties, i.e. supervising cleaners and contractors on occasion
  • Assisting with financial reconciliations
  • Maintaining supplies of stationery and groceries and anything else required for the office
  • Booking couriers (same day, overnight and international) and taxis - tracking couriers and making sure delivery deadlines are met
  • Receiving mail and deliveries - opening, sorting and distributing
  • Greeting visitors at all levels of seniority and providing refreshments
  • You will have/be:
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion, in and out of the office
  • Great communication skills, in person and via email/phone
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Ability to complete tasks and projects on time and to a high standard
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Ability to approach all tasks in a cost-conscious way and being aware of budgets
  • Ability to research costs and find cheaper alternatives where applicable
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude to everchanging demands and requests
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and follow instructions to the letter
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Ability to think on feet and make common sense decisions on the spot
