Job Description

NIS Security Guidance Consultant -This role will be part of Cyber Security Directorate. Protecting the GB National Infrastructure - Act as Joint Competent Authority ("CA") for The Security of Network & Information Systems Regulations ("NIS") focused on Advisory, Compliance and Enforcement of Operators / Suppliers, initially scoped for the Operators of Essential Services ("OES") - in order to protect users energy supply, through the improvement of Cyber Security and Resilience.the client are leveraging a profile developed to align their efforts towards for the initial years of NIS and Cyber Assessment Framework ("CAF"). The initial task is to develop RIIO-2 Cyber Resilience Guidelines based on a draft that has been developed for the next period of improvement against the CAF.Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the organisations position on delivering CAF profiles over the next period
  • Liaise with Chief Cyber Security Architect to list the challenges with the RIIO-2 cyber resilience guidelines, which was developed for network of companies.
  • Leveraging the methodology used to develop CAF profiles, develop a set of minimum requirements to be able to achieve to withstand certain attack scenarios.
  • Facilitate workshops, virtual or otherwise to incorporate the necessary changes in a dynamic manner.
  • Experience of engaging, advising and influencing at all levels of an organisation. An effective and engaging communicator, working with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in Oil, Gas, Electricity
  • Understanding of NIS, NCSC CAF and Operational Technology
  • Appreciation for legacy OT technology and challenges to implement security controls
  • Certified to one, more or equivalent; CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 lead implementer.
  • Experience of engaging, advising and influencing at all levels of an organisation. An effective and engaging communicator, working with senior stakeholders.
