Job Purpose This role provides essential maintenance and support of investment systems. Investment systemsprovide users with sophisticated and powerful front-office decision support, dealing and analytical capabilities. This sophistication requires careful management in order to maximise its effectiveness and ensure that users find the system reliable. The IMSteam will be expected to work closely with fund managers, Dealers, Investment tools developers and Newton Technology support, as well as shared service teams such as Global Procurement. The IMS team also acts as the liaison between the business teams and BRS(Blackrock) in relation to the management of the Aladdin platform. We are responsible for raising issues, and making sure they are resolved in a timely manner. Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, test, implement and communicate changes to GUI configuration requiredto facilitate new or improved workflows in Investment systemsInvolvement in the introduction of new or improvements to existing workflows. With a particular focus on investment system considerations.Provide the first line of support to all users of investmentsystems. Provide direct assistance or escalate through appropriate channels to get resolution.Work with the business analysts to ensure all requirements are captured and provide input with knowledge of existing systems and workflowsProduce a high qualityof user acceptance testing for any changes testedAssist in verifying system changes go live and DR testing scenariosAct as chair or produce minutes for Vendor Relationship Management meetings with vendorsProduce a high standard of documentation (bothof processes and functionality) when requiredProvide training to new and existing users of investment systemsUpdate JIRA to document and provide updates on current workEnsure IMS Team procedures are updated to reflect changes to or new workflows/functionality Provide MI to manager as and when requiredOversee the Market data provision, to include monthly MI on usage and cost.Liaising with counterparties, both brokers and venues, to establish FIX connectivity.Testing FIX connections and making any necessarychanges as are required to trade.
