Network & Server Manager - West London - circ £65,000 - £70,000 + Good BenefitsA Network & Server Manager with hands on technical strengths that stretch across networking, servers & infrastructure and security required for this fantastic opportunity based in West London (near Richmond, Kew, Acton, Chiswick, Brentford etc). Our Clientis a brand leader within their sector and have significant investment plans across their entire IT & Digital environment. This is a great opportunity for a strong technologist to join as a senior member of the IT department and really show case their skillsand knowledge. Reporting into and working collaboratively with a highly technical leadership colleague, you will work closely together to support the day to day running of all aspects of IT for the large scale multi-sited network infrastructure. You will ensureit operates reliably and develops in line with business needs as well as the continuous technical advancements in the world around us. This is a very technical role, you will need to know your stuff when it comes to the core aspects of designing, building,maintaining and further developing a multi-site network infrastructure primarily built on Microsoft and Cisco technology. As well as strong skills with the likes of Azure, Office 365, VMWare, Active Directory, Exchange etc, you will need advanced networkingand security experience as well. Comms are the underlying pin to the whole business and with the need to ensure resilience a complex topology is required to support that. BGP is used to deliver the solution so therefore its important you understand and haveworked with BGP or other dynamic routing protocols in the past.Although a technical role its also customer facing in nature. The ability to balance the need of providing clear and effective communication in a way users can understand, as well as being a go to technical problem solver, is essential. Dependent on the experienceand wishes of the successful candidate, there is also opportunity for some team management should that be of interest.Our client will happily consider applicants working in an Enterprise environment although the role will best suit someone whos enjoyed working in an SME (Small / Medium business) or MSP / IT Service provider, where owning projects, daily variety, changingpriorities, being last line of defence and the ability to juggle are the norm. To be considered for the role we would expect you to be able to demonstrate experience (or at least having had some exposure) to the technologies / concepts in a similar multi-sitenetwork infrastructure environment to the following;Servers & Applications* Virtualisation - VMware or Hyper-V* MS Azure Implementations* Hybrid Office 365 deployments* Active Directory, Exchange, SQL* Windows Server OS* Tools such as or similar to PowerShell, LANDesk, SolarWinds, AlienVault Networking* Firewalls - Check Point, ASA, Meraki* Cisco Routers and switches* Meraki Access Points.* Dynamic routing - BGP* Policy Based Routing* DMVPN and MPLS configurations* Load Balancers In return for your expertise our client can promise a challenging growth position, working with some great people in an environment where you will really be allowed to make your mark.
