Job Description

Network Infrastructure Project Manager / Installations Moves & Changes Project Manager (IMAC) - Telephony, LAN/WAN/Wireless Access Points/Ethernet Points/Cat-6 Cabling, Cisco Routing Hardware, Palo Alto Firewalls; Stakeholder Engagement, Digital Transformation. London/Remote (Hybrid). 12 Month FTC, £70k - £80k + Benefits. Global law firm seeks a Network Infrastructure Project Manager / IMAC Project Manager to oversee the fit out of the core network infrastructure within physical offices in London and Europe. You will focus specifically on the network infrastructure from theground up i.e. physical CAT6 cabling, points and ports through to the Wireless Access Points and Cisco Routers and Firewalls mounted in racks within business centre environments. Working within PRINCE II methods you will engage with various infrastructure and service delivery teams to second appropriate personnel to deliver technical enhancements within a global digital transformation programme. The Network Infrastructure Project Manager / IMAC Project Manager will use their previous experience of delivering infrastructure projects (specifically Network focussed including cabling and point infrastructure as well as Cisco router and firewall hardware)to plan, manage and deliver projects across the enterprise with a focus on UK/EU. Liaising with senior business and IT stakeholders you will negotiate, plan, cost, forecast, deliver and report to senior IT management and stakeholder steering committees onnumerous elements within the projects and be responsible for the management and mitigation of issues and risks within the project as well as the technical personnel seconded onto the project teams along with 3rd party vendors - in particular cabling subcontractorsan installers. Typically you will manage 3 - 5 projects depending on size and complexity. Project planning, cost forecasting. PID, SOW, budgetary management, man-management, stakeholder engagement and liaison along with regular status reporting will form the basis of this project management role but essentially you will use your previous experienceto manage numerous infrastructure improvements through tenacity and by driving out results. As such you will be required to engage senior level business focussed stakeholders, persuade and negotiate to elicit requirements and guide them as to feasible solutionsand outcomes across the European infrastructure environment. We are searching for a Network Infrastructure Project Manager / IMAC Project Manager who has gained significant experience delivering network focussed projects within business centre environments. You will have managed both cabling engineers as well as networkengineers and overseen major implementations of cabling, ports and related infrastructure including Routers Switches, Firewalls and Wireless Access Points. You will be comfortable engaging with users, business stakeholders, vendors (in particular cabling contractors and network hardware and security consultants) and technical staff within the infrastructure teams to resolve issues with related systems and ableto elicit requirements and run projects from end-to-end within the full life cycle utilising PRINCE II methods. You may have been working in a Law Firm, Solicitors, Legal Services environment or similar professional services environments such as Accountancy,Financial Services, Consultancy etc and be able to demonstrate your experience of delivering projects across multiple geographies.
