Job Description

We work consultatively with our clients to revitalise their operations, reinvent established processes and implement future-ready solutions that deliver measurable benefit and improve data-driven decision making.The RoleCharles Taylor InsureTech is looking for an Infrastructure Network Infrastructure Engineer who will be part of a cross discipline global operations team. This is a hands-on technical role that covers troubleshooting environments, circuit activations, equipment installations & configurations, performing detailed root cause analysis, the effective escalation of challenges, and documenting best practices. The Network Infrastructure Engineer requires experience implementing complex projects, meeting project deadlines, meeting challenges with a positive attitude, and work with a strong sense of task ownership. Charles Taylor is a cloud first organisation focusing on the Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud platforms. The role is based in our London offices with a scheduled major incident on-call rota.Key Responsibilities

  • Work in a cross functional operations team managing and supporting all aspects of network infrastructure
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Check Point firewalls
  • Administrate route exchanging with MSP managed MPLS network
  • Troubleshoot network access issues
  • Configure site to site IPSec VPNs
  • Troubleshoot remote user VPNs
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot WAN activations
  • The ability to support an MSP managed MPLS environment
  • Support a global Meraki WiFi deployment
  • Implement new solutions to meet business requirements
  • Create and maintain infrastructure related diagrams, documentation, and procedures
  • Conduct full stack diagnostics to help determine the root cause of problems

  • Extensive experience with Check Point firewalls, and Cisco routing and switching solutions
  • Experience with OSPF routing and BGP routing over MPLS
  • Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) or equivalent experience
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent experience
  • Some experience with the Microsoft Azure platforms & the Microsoft ExpressRoute
  • Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects and adhering to deadlines
  • Experience with Silver Peak SDWAN solutions or Palo Alto firewalls is a benefit
