Job Description

Are you an accomplished network engineer with experience gained within Telecoms working for a telecom provider, ISP, CSP or content provider Are you passionate about design and deployment We at Epsilon have created a new role with hybrid workingto be based in our London office twice a week and 3 days fro home for a Network Engineer to specialise in IP MPLS.The Role of the IP/MPLS Network Engineer is to work on our core backbone network to manage, develop, evolve, and support Epsilonsglobal IP/MPLS network infrastructure supporting Public IP, Layer2, IP-VPN and SD-WAN services.Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the deployment and management of the global MPLS and VPLS (E-Line, E-LAN and IP-VPN) infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the deployment and management of the global IP transit, IP peering, and the connection to IXP and CSP.
  • Responsible for the deployment and management of the global SDWAN infrastructure.
  • Work cross-functionally with product team and project management to generate implementation plans including Method of Procedure (MOP), Bill of Materials (BOM) and Scope of Works (SOW)
  • To take up the on-call duties and out of hours work when required (in reality these are likely to be able to cover 1 week a month for a few hours a day)
  • Maintain technical and training documentation and develop automation as needed.
  • Provide guidance and training to NOC when required
Skills and Knowledge required:
  • 5+ years of working experience in telecom provider, ISP, CSP or content provider.
  • Experience working within a multi-vendor network environmentJuniper, Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia and Cisco are relevant.
  • Experience working in JUNOS SPACE is an advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge and experiencein Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing technologies and protocols including TCP/IP ,OSPF, BGP/MP-BGP, IS-IS, MPLS and RSVP etc.
  • Experience working and knowledge in security and firewall.
  • Experience working and knowledge in SD-WAN/SASE (Silverpeak, Versa, Cisco Viptela or Fortinet) is an advantage.
  • Experience working with automation technology (Puppet/Ansible) is an advantage
