Network EngineerSalary: £48,000 - £55,000 depending on experienceOn-call - 1 in 5 on-call will be paid to be on-call and then paid overtime if they are called outLocation: Remote worker, ideally South England based. British National, must be eligible for SC Clearance and potentially DVKey Skills3rd line experience in Networks (4 years experience)Confident talking to end usersFortigate/Palo AutoCisco NetscalerWireless CiscoRemote Access FirewallCisco ISCExperience over qualifications, but CCNA/CCNP would be advantageousJob Purpose:Joining our clients Network Team as a Network Engineer, this person will be required to assist with the monitoring and maintenance of the client Network Infrastructure; encompassing Core Network, WAN, LAN, Firewall Management, VOIP and Wireless across the business.This will require working with the business and 3rd party suppliers to ensure a suitable and effective service.Organisation Chart:(See latest published charts)Major Tasks and Activities:*Fault management and rectification across the Infrastructure to agreed SLA / KPIs.*Administration tasks across the Infrastructure as required and dictated by Best Practice.*Daily responsibility for the monitoring, management and reporting of the following technologies to the agreed performance levels and standards:Core Network - Covering all Data Centre networks.WAN - Manage the Infrastructure to ensure fit for purpose products are utilised. Manage relationship with supplier. LAN - Manage all site installations and infrastructure (switches etc.)Network Security Devices - Firewall infrastructure including configuration, Maintenance and regular administrationVOIP - Monitor and maintain all IP Telephony installations*Wireless - Internal and Guest Wi-fi infrastructure including configuration, Maintenance and regular administration*Working with the following platformsoCisco ASA and LANoVPN Cisco AnyConnectoPalo Alto FirewallsoFortinetoCitrix ADCoInfobloxoCactioSolarWindsoSkybox*Operate a centralised Enterprise Systems Management capability.*Work with 3rd Party support to perform operational maintenance of network infrastructure.*Assist Solutions Architects in design process, providing guidance and best practice.*Production of Operational and Technical Documentation to agreed standards.*Network rostered 24/7 on-call support 1 in every 7 weeksAdditional accountabilities:*Any other duties as deemed necessary to achieve department goals.Key Outputs/Deliverables*LAN Infrastructure meets all PLAs (Performance Level Agreement)*WAN meets all PLAs*IP Telephony installation meets all PLAs*Satisfied customer base*Up to date and quality Operational and Technical DocumentationPerson SpecificationQualification and Experience:*Experienced Networking professional, focused on delivering effective and efficient operational capability.*Proven customer liaison skills*Cisco CCNA & CCNP qualification*Strong Firewall background (preferably Cisco/Palo Alto/Netscaler)*Confident working across a multi-disciplined IT environment, and diverse businessTechnical & Specialist Knowledge:*Understanding of IT management processes*Good technical knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure environments *Toolset skills for all aspects of this role*Ability to produce high quality operational and technical reference documentation---Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
