Job Description

A Telecommunications company is looking to hire an experienced Network Engineer on an initial 3-month contract to assist their Technical Support and Sales team. They are looking to fill this role quickly and get someone started immediately.The company develops highly capable, lightweight network communication solutions and specialises in integrating enterprise networking capabilities with in-house hardware and software platforms.Key responsibilities

  • The role will be based remotely but will require an onsite presence when required
  • Support the Design, implementation and documentation of solutions.
  • Pre & Post-Sales support to Sales team and customers
  • Representing company as technical lead at trade shows, exhibitions and customer demonstrations as needed
  • Collaborating with all Telecom departments for various activities
    • Technical Skills
  • Routing & Switching experience on Cisco Catalyst and ISR product ranges.
  • IPSec/SSL VPN knowledge on ASA, Classic IOS, IOS XE, JunOS.
  • VoIP using CUCM / Call Manager Express.
  • Exposure to virtualized applications such as Cisco VSOM, CSR1000v, Nexus 1000v, IPICS, ASAv, Palo Alto, JunOS.
  • Hypervisor experience such as VMware, Citrix XenServer, KVM.
  • WAN Acceleration with Riverbed, Citrix or similar.
  • Linux networking knowledge.
  • Hyperconverged technologies including VMware vSAN and Nutanix.
  • VDI: VMWare Horizon View, Citrix XenDesktop.
  • vGPU an advantage.
    • Essential Requirements/Qualifications
  • CCNA or CCNP
  • VMware VCP is beneficial
