Job Description

National Account Manager - Grocery Multiples & High Street Retail - Share Options + Up to 20% BonusWe are proud to partner with an award winning, highly sustainable, FMCG brand who are in search of a highly proactive & analytical National Account Manager to provide exceptional Account Management and increase category share amongst Grocery and Retail partnerships.Started from humble beginnings driven by the founder’s passion for their product they are now embarking on the next phase of ambitious growth and business transformation.

What is expected of you
  • Account management of at least 2 of the companies Grocery / Retail customers such as Sainsburys, Tesco, Waitrose, Asda & Morrisons - Sales control of up to £5 million per annum currently
  • Category Management to help expand their current portfolio with gorcery customers with the introduction of new SKUs.
  • Add value to their S&OP Processes by helping to create 6-month forecasts for both grocery and retail channels
  • Lead the implementation and analysis of Promotional Plans and efficiencies
  • Take the lead on the end to end Commercial P&L
  • Formulate and exectuve robust end to end JBPs
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, finance, and Supply Chain departments to bring to life agreed customer marketing activities
  • Reporting & analysis to internal & external stakeholders - Excel based
As a successful FMCG Brand going through sustained growth it is essential that the National Account Manager is a hugely proactive individual who will lead from the front and provide the following experience -
  • 1-3 years NAM, Junior NAM or NAE experience within a fast growing consumer goods brand with experience of managing an end-to-end sales & Account Management function across both Grocery/Retail Accounts.
  • Experience or desire to manage the full commercial P&L deck across multiple SKUs with multiple customers
  • Proven experience creating JBPs from scratch
  • Not afraid to proactively collaborate & onboard new business - Grocery and Retail Accounts
  • Solid experience of managing and conducting an end-to-end sales cycle within FMCG
  • Excellent statistical forecasting and quantitative analysis skills for promotional activities
  • Solid experience of working with Excel / ERP systems to provide departmental insight - VLookup, Pivot Tables, Sumifs
  • Record of successful account management, new business sales which results in increased Turnover/product listings
  • Excellent people and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong analytical abilities and report writing
Experience of the above within the Consumer Goods industry is a must.The company is happy to consider more junior candidates who want to build on their current National Accounts experience. People who are operating at National Account Executive level or have recently been through a graduate scheme with a larger consumergoods business are highly welcomed to apply for this role.
