Job Description

Fixed Term Contract Position - Metadata ManagerMy Client, a property business in London is recruiting for a Metadata Manager for an 18 month fixed term contract with potential to extend or become permanent.Location: RemoteSalary: £50,000 - £55,000Length of Contract: 18 monthsThe Metadata Manager will:

  • Lead on them organisations metadata and data lineage strategy
  • Support the implementation of the data lineage strategy
  • Development and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Glossary
  • Be responsible for relevant cataloguing, discovery and metadata projects
  • Ensure data is fully documented and referenced in line with agreed processes and formats.
  • Develop Data Glossaries for key business processes/capabilities
  • Create Data Flow and Data Mapping diagrams for specific processes/capabilities
  • Create Data Lineage diagrams for specific processes/capabilities
The Metadata Manager will have:
  • Knowledge and experience of a range of current and emerging metadata standards
  • Working with data mapping and transformations
  • Experience eliciting and capturing data flows and data lineage.
  • Practical experience as a Metadata Manager
  • Knowledge of data management and data governance processes
  • Experience with data modelling, relational databases and writing SQL queries (not essential)
