Job Description

Job Title: Mental Health Act AdministratorLocation: Highgate Day CentreShift Pattern: Mon - FriShift Timing: 9:00 to 5:00 (37.5 Hours/ Week)Payrate: £ 13.44/Hr + Accured Holiday PayJob Description

  • Support the Mental Health Law Hub to maintain and uphold good practice in the administration and application of the Mental Health Act.
  • Scrutinise statutory documents to determine that legal procedures have been followed correctly relating to the care for and treatment of service users and determining if and how rectification can be made where issues arise
  • Be responsible for ensuring that all appeals to First Tier Tribunals and Associate Hospital Managers are arranged and managed appropriately and efficiently in line with established procedures. Maintain an accurate database recording such events.
  • Provide a high standard of administrative support to assist the efficient and effective delivery of the Mental Health Act administration function across Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Liaise with Trust staff, Local Authority Staff and partner agencies staff as and when necessary - this will include AMHPs, Care Co-ordinators, GPs and Consultant Psychiatrists.
Youll have the following skills/experience:
  • Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Previous admin experience
  • Previous NHS experience
  • NHS System Knowledge- Carenotes (desirable)
