Membership DirectorUK Professional Membership BodyRemote Home Based with travel to meetings. Basic Salary £65,000 with benefits 27 Days Holiday, 5% Pension, Private Healthcare and L&D Permanent, Full TimeOur client a well-respected and reputable UK professional membership body is currently looking for Membership Director managing a small team. You will be based from home, remotely with travel to staff meetings and member meetings throughout the UK.Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive membership strategy to attract, engage, and retain association members.Increase the associations revenue through membership growth and other commercial opportunities in line with agreed financial targets.Foster strong relationships with current and prospective members, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.Provide exceptional customer service to members by promptly responding to inquiries, concerns, and requests for information.Develop and oversee membership retention programmes, including renewal campaigns, engagement initiatives, and feedback mechanisms.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver valuable member benefits.Conduct regular surveys and collect feedback from members to gauge satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement.Coordinate and manage the membership contact database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are kept.Implement a company-wide key account management programme to ensure members feel valued and are successfully engaged in the work of the Group.Analyse membership data and generate reports to track metrics, membership trends, and the effectiveness of member services initiatives.Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted member communications, including newsletters, emails, and social media campaigns.Represent the association at industry conferences, trade shows, and events to promote membership and engage with potential members.Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and developments to ensure that member services align with the changing needs of the sector.Collaborate with the executive team to establish and manage the departmental budget.Person SpecificationA first degree or equivalent experienceDemonstrable experience in membership services, customer relationship management, or similarConsiderable experience working in a member-led organisation.Collaborate effortlessly with cross-functional teams, cultivating strong interdepartmental relationships to drive synergistic solutions and ensure a seamless member experience.Lead and inspire a high performing team to provide exceptional member services through effective leadership and collaboration.A strong commercial acumen and ability to create, maintain and report accurate financial information on the associations commercial income.An understanding of the industry, knowledge of key stakeholders, trends, and challenges would be ideal but applicants who possess a strong willingness to learn and are passionate about gaining industry expertise will also be considered.Excellent customer service skills with a strong commitment to member satisfaction.Experience in providing clear, balanced advice at a senior board level.Able to translate vision into delivery and solve problems with a broad range of individuals, influencing and directing change in a positive working environment with a sense of collective accountability.Able to build the profile of an organisations leadership.Ability to develop and deliver influential content and presentations.Excellent attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills, builds relationships across all levels of an organisation and with a range of stakeholders.Exceptional communication skills, including excellent written English.Ability to proactivity manages workload and meet deadlines.Continually seeks to maintain own professional knowledge through a willingness to learn and develop.To apply to this role please send your CVDue to the volume of applications we are only able to contact successful applicants.
