Members of the General Chiropractic Council, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern IrelandThe General Chiropractic Council (GCC) is seeking to appoint two members to its Council from summer 2021.One vacancy is for a registrant member and the other is a for a lay member. There is no geographical requirement for both vacancies.The GCC is an independent statutory body established by Parliament to regulate chiropractors in the United Kingdom.Council members have a pivotal role at GCC, leading our commitment to deliver greater benefit to the public, our registrants and stakeholders within a changing regulatory environment.Applicants should explain how they meet the requirements of the competency framework set out in the information for applicants attached. We are particularly seeking applicants with skills and experience gained working in a senior finance role and/or health and care sector. Further details are set out in the candidate pack.The role is remunerated, with a time commitment of approximately 15 days per year, including attendance at quarterly meetings in London in March, June, September and December with travel and subsistence covered. Since March 2020, Council has met remotely and will continue to do so as per Government guidelines. The initial term is three years.
