At Novartis, creativity and diversity are encouraged, impact is recognised, success is celebrated, and people feel valued and listened to.Job Purpose & Jobs to be DoneSupports the medical Signatory Hub in ensuring streamlined processes are in place for the efficient review and approval of all promotional and non-promotional materials and ensures all materials are fair, balanced and factually accurate and adhere to theABPI code and our internal policies.

  • Builds a good knowledge of the Therapy Areas (TA), key medical priorities, the healthcare system and ABPI code
  • Supports activities and logistics as part of the Signatory team, such as
  • Managing workflow trackers
  • Effective project management of large projects
  • Ensuring copy approval process is in accordance with approval SOPs
  • Track issues, escalate where needed, and identify trends for process improvement efforts
  • Overseeing budget tracker and creating POs for third parties
  • Co-ordination and escalation of issues raised by our third-party vendors (e.g system/IT issues)
  • Co-ordination of team meetings
  • Organisation of itineraries and logistics for ongoing activities
  • Support the review of basic materials to
    • Check for scientific accuracy
    • Ensure they comply with the APBI code and internal policies
    • Identify upskilling needs in non-medical teams
  • (For development) Involvement in TA-related projects i.e. supporting advisory boards

We are looking for an individual who can meet the following criteria:
  • Educated to degree level in Life Sciences, Medicine or Pharmacy (GPhc or GMC registered desirable but not necessarily required)
  • Experience within UK healthcare and /or pharmaceuticals environment is an advantage, but not necessary
  • Clear motivation and ambition to gain experience in a medical affairs environment
  • Ability to evidence skills which are transferrable to the business environment (e.g., good time management, teamwork) experience of successfully working with teams through work, academic and/or extracurricular activities
  • You will be able to demonstrate
    • Proactivity - ability to work independently and proactively under own initiative, taking responsibility and driving projects and activities to a successful conclusion
    • Analytical thinking - can understand and use complex data and can communicate complex data to a wide range of professional and lay audiences, adapting their wording and style to suit

    • Customer focused mindset - delivering high quality projects and activities to internal and external groups with awareness and responsiveness to their needs
  • Fluency in English - verbal and written - is required
  • You will be IT savvy and highly proficient with Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, PPT skills and Word at Advanced Level)
Additional InformationPlease ensure that you are willing and able to live within commutable distance of the company site before applying. This placement is based in White City in London and we would like you to be in the office a minimum of 12 days per month, to aid your developmentin working with and learning from your team.
