Job Summary The postholder will provide access support and advice, mainly to BBC stakeholders. The postholder will provide facilitation (human support) for disabled staff across the BBC and log this support on our internal systems. The postholder will also accuratelybook communication support and other facilitation requests using our internal systems to ensure KPIs are reported and our financial reporting is accurate in relation to these bookings.The postholder will be part of a team that highlights risks and issues and works proactively to resolve them, with support from more senior colleagues and management.This is a Hybrid role - working from home and working from the London BBC offices. Essential Job Duties 1. Provision of facilitation To provide facilitation to disabled staff and contributors to enable them to fulfil their job requirements without barriers. This includes guiding blind service users, reading support, audio description, note-taking, use of various software packages, useof office equipment, support for users when travelling using BBC transport and public transport.2. Booking support Receive, upload and review all referrals for support requests. Update system in line with agreed processes and escalate work to access specialists / VRC Ensure that all SLAs are adhered to in terms of acknowledging the referrals Working with a specified list of suppliers to book, confirm and arrange facilitation support as and when requested for service users. To follow up on any cancelled requests and record cancellation reasons. To report noncompliance of suppliers or feedback from service users. Maintain accurate records using database3. Support and queries Answer telephone and email enquires as promptly as possible from service users Support Access Specialists / VRCs with queries on service delivery Support other business functions in line with service delivery Record support and queries, comments and feedback for service improvements.4. Administration General administrative functions not limited to: completing and sending Access to Work claim forms, supporting team members with service delivery, maintaining records. Education and Experience Requirements Attention to detail Customer focused [internal and external] Highly organised, able to self-motivate and manage a busy and varied workload Ability to work to tight deadlines Ability to engage effectively with a variety of people at all levels Ability to understand and follow systems processesAbility to take accurate, reliable notes Ability to learn to use and understand new / variety of computer systems. Experience of using Email / tasks and diary managementi.e.: Google.
