Job Description

Media Sales Account Manager - Event Space - East London - £50k-£55k + generous bonus schemeWe are looking for a successful Media Sales Account Manager, with demonstrable experience in a dynamic digital mediasales environment, excellent lead qualification techniques and experience of forecasting and analysing sales data, to join a leading events venue in the Docklands, London.Joining a world class venue, the main focus of this Sales Account Manager role is to proactively generate new business and account manage existing business within the media team, including generating new leads by identifying and closing valuable business prospects.Therefore, we are looking for someone who is market and customer focused, has exceptional negotiation and communication skills, is creative and innovative and is in touch with the needs of internal and external customers. You will need to be driven, resultsfocused and clear-minded in the pursuit of objectives. The ability to demonstrate how to identify high vs low potential business is necessary to be successful in this role.Key responsibilities as the Media Sales Account Manager will include:

  • Proactively generating new business and management of existing accounts
  • Achieving annual media revenue targets - achieving year on year growth in both revenue and profit
  • Proposing and implementing strategies to grow revenue and collaborating with the wider sales and media operations team to develop an integrated sales approach
  • Preparing a strategic plan for key events, proactively highlighting opportunities for growth
  • Working closely with managers in preparing annual budgets / revenue forecasting
  • Seeking and developing new business / lead generation - maximising and growing target markets and/or key areas
  • Identifying new clients through proactive sales techniques, qualifying prospects and optimising sales opportunities
  • Effectively managing and developing new and existing accounts ensuring high levels of repeat business and account growth
  • Attending networking events and industry related conferences
  • Working with the media design and marketing team to ensure proposals are accurate and well presented
  • Maintaining records and producing reports, taking responsibility for the maintenance and accuracy of data

What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience in Digital MediaSales Account Management - event industry exposure is highly beneficial
  • Demonstrable success in achieving / exceeding targets
  • High command of lead qualification techniques and processes - proven ability to liaise with clients during the sales process to maximise revenues and exceed client expectations
  • Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills
  • Creative, innovative and strategic sales / account manager who is focused on delivering success
  • Ability to demonstrate how to identify high vs low potential business
  • Experience of forecasting and analysing sales data to inform sales strategy and meet KPIs
  • Good working knowledge of event organiser / exhibitor procurement and contracting processes would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build successful business relationships
  • IT literate including good MS Office and database management experience
  • Dynamic approach with the ability to wok under pressure
