Job Description

Galaxy Lamps is a brand known for making the most amazing lamps. Behind the brand name is a team of dedicated professionals who not only love their job, but encourage each other to excel.We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly-organized Media Buyer/Planner to join our team in London. This role will require someone who values asking big questions and doesnt mind inventing new steps to find the answers. You will need to explore loads ofdata, using the findings to generate and test new ad campaigns. We expect you as a Media Buyer/Planner to see obstacles and challenge as exciting opportunities to invent something new. You should be a self-starter who will take ownership of their role anddemonstrate enthusiasm. A self-driven dedication and a good cross-team coordination will be key skills required for success in this role.Responsibilities

  • Creation of campaign analysis plan templates
  • Responsible for planning, managing and analysing in-house campaigns with Strategy & Planning leads, providing necessary optimizations; compile post-mortem reports for campaigns and monthly cross-platform actualization reporting
  • Ability to provide and meet forecasts of expected return of media investment
  • Analysing data on a daily basis to perform ongoing optimizations, identify any shifts in trends and achieve KPI goals
  • Leverage knowledge across platforms to apply learnings from one channel to a another
  • Contributing to weekly, monthly, and annual reporting needs and insights
  • Running "prediction" reports for our ad creatives (uploading lists of our videos, images, and headlines into a software that predicts performance based on past performance)
  • Ability to learn the business and grow that knowledge to make appropriate decisions that move the company forward; pragmatic risk taking that makes best use of resources
  • Negotiating with advertising sales agents to ensure the most cost-effective deal structures
  • Managing budgets and monitoring campaigns costs and ROI metrics
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or similar
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a media buyer or similar, agency experience is particularly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in media planning/strategy
  • Agency experience highly preferred
  • High proficiency in Excel - comfortable pulling raw data, creating pivots and data visuals
  • Outstanding critical thinking, attention to detail organizational and negotiation skills
  • Interest in media and media trends
  • Strong communication and networking abilities
  • Proven experience profitably driving high-volume display customer acquisition
