Job Details We have a great, profitable friendly company to work for - with a full order book - located at Braunschweig regional airport (near Hanover in North Germany), in need of a Mechanical Design Engineer (Special Mission Aircraft). There are longterm prospects for those looking for an career. You should be able to modify a small business type aircraft, and confident to design new small structure provisions i.e. reinforcements to new cut outs to take the new loads from new antennas, radar, camerasand others sensors using SRM (stress repair manual) or relevant ATA chapter to ensure structure integrity is maintained. You will know what a RF is, and use SRM or reverse engineering to determine a new RF. Able to deal with conflicts with other equipmentsuch as oxygen systems etc. You shall be able to use at least 1 established CAD system, and able to validate drawings. The work will be on special mission aircraft. If you have only recent experience you will be fully trained, if you have 5-10 years experienceyou will taught the systems and processes at the company. If you are a "grey hair" and very senior engineer will may still offer you a temporary position. Relevant experience is and ambition more relevant that academic qualifications. However, a aeronauticalor mechanical degree or equivalent would help. A full command of spoken and written English required.
