Private Care at Guy’s is also a centre of excellence for robotic surgery, oncology and a JACIE accredited stem cell transplantation unit for blood cancers and Multiple SclerosisJob Description As the Haematology and Oncology Matron, you will work within your scope of professional practice to prioritise people, preserve safety and promote professionalism and trust in effectively managing a number of wards, departments of teams to provide excellent, safe, effective and compassionate care throughout the 24 hour period.You will be patient focused and provide nursing leadership and direction for all nursing staff across the services managed and act as a point of contact for advice and expertise on all matters relating to both professional nursing and specific specialty issues.Acting as a role model of clinical leadership who inspires, motivates and empowers nurses within the service to deliver their best, the post holder is responsible for effectively managing the financial resources, ensuring the optimal deployment of the nursing workforce to ensure high-quality patient care is delivered and monitored.
