The MCC and Lords brands are renowned worldwide and are synonymouswith excellence, prestige and providing an enjoyable customer experience, whether at an international cricket match with 31,000 spectators, or for Sunday Afternoon Tea in the Long Room.Working as part of a world-class stewarding team, you will play a crucial role in the three pillars of event operations: safety, security, and service. Youll be warm and welcoming, calm under pressure and provide a first-class service to all those who enterthe Ground. You will have the confidence to direct the public, ensuring the safety and security of all staff, spectators, members and players are never compromised, and ensure ground regulations are followed at all times. You will act in line with the clubsown standards and values: smart, attentive and original.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEThe demands of the cricket season mean extended hours and intense periods of work - including weekends - and the ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate personal resilience to manage this and still deliver their best work.The ideal candidates will show strong customer focus and have the ability to work under pressure.Spectator safety and security in a sports venue would be beneficial but not essential.Skills and ability testing will form part of the selection processCOMMITMENT TO WORKAll match day stewards applying for this position must be available for 75% of major match days including two International Test Matches, One-Day International, T20 Blast fixtures and The Hundred tournament.
