HRS are currently looking for a Mass Spectrometry Scientist - Biologics to join a leading gene therapy company based in London. As the Mass Spectrometry Scientist - Biologics you will be responsible for the development of LCMS methods focused on large molecules such as peptides, antibodies, proteins etc. This is a great opportunity for a PhD / Post-Doc / Scientist with a specialisation on LCMS / Proteomics. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Mass Spectrometry Scientist - Biologics will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. You will develop and carry out analytical method development in support of the R&D department. This will mainly be focused on LCMS and HPLC. 2. You will be part of the Analytical/ R&D team where you will be driving innovation by implementing new technologies and driving R&D projects from start to completion. 3. As the Mass Spectrometry Scientist - Biologics, you will design experiments, write up protocols and authorise them. 4. You will be generating data and analyse them to improve LCMS methods. ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Mass Spectrometry Scientist - Biologics we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. A PhD in a life science discipline, including Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry etc with a focus on LCMS or Proteomics. 2. Proven experience using LC/MS instrumentation (SCIEX, AGILENT, THERMO etc). Experience with HPLC is desirable. 3. A working knowledge and practical experience with development and optimisation of LCMS methods as well as data analysis.
