Job Description

Marketing Manager, Journals, Sales Enablement Location: LondonClosing date: November 27th 2021 Springer Nature requires a Marketing Manager, Journals. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and initiating all sales enablement resources and informationrelevant to Springer Natures journal portfolio, with a particular focus on Nature Portfolio and protecting journal package deals. This role will also seek to identify content marketing opportunities that reinforce the benefits of customers licensing our fullportfolio of journals.The role will play a pivotal part in engaging with editorial and publishing to shape our messaging and content, with strategy to understand the commercial goals and translate branding projects into effective and engaging content for oursales, B2B marketing and engagement teams.Responsibilities Develop and articulate positioning and messaging into resources for the institutional markets as well as the internal CCO organization. Providing sales and marketing colleagues with the right informationand materials to market and sell effectively. Driving high quality content to creatively deliver information through collateral, playbooks, presentations and multimedia. Identify content marketing opportunities that reinforce the benefits of customers licensingour full portfolio of journals, including case studies, interviews, white papers, webinars and testimonials Adapting new formats going forward and coordinating translation in local languages where required. Managing projects that support the annual targetsin institutional revenue, customer retention, new business, and usage. Manage a broad range of sales enablement tools and information projects. Contribute to an annual resources plan for the institutional market and sales teams that is part of the global contentmarketing plan. The plan is global and includes regional and/or market variations where needed. Engage with and work in close cooperation with commercial sales and other marketing teams within Springer Nature. Coordinate communication with internal stakeholdergroups. Manage project KPIs and project budgets. Experience: Proven extensive marketing experience preferably in the STM sector. Comfortable in dealing with a broad range of complex projects while having a focus on execution. Excellent copywriting skills.Good knowledge and understanding of current trends in publishing and the librarian community. Ability to work independently. Ability to partner with different levels and units throughout the organization and externally. The candidate should possess strongteamwork skills. Proactive style with strong interpersonal and networking skills. Able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, anticipate required activities/tasks, and work according to changing priorities and deadlines. Flexibility and openness toinnovative ideas. Able to present clearly and confidently. Comfortable to work to deadlines and within budget. Ability and willingness to travel as needed.Skills/Knowledge: Commercially minded with a strong drive for success. Excellent communication, interpersonaland networking skills. Customer focus and desire to build customer loyalty. In-depth knowledge of library community and electronic products. Creative, forward-thinking and proactive.
