Job Description

To support the Senior Retail and Spa/Salon Marketing Manager, on the take-to-market animation of the UK Marketing calendar for Retail (Store and Online) Spa and Salon and flagship, in-line with the Global Marketing strategy, to drive commercial and brand KPIs in the UK home market for these channels.Client DetailsIndustry leading cosmetic firm who have a growing global reach.Description

  • Work with the Senior Retail and Spa/Slaon Marketing Manager to build and deliver the Retail, Spa/Salon and annual Marketing calendars, in-line with UK departmental KPIs - drive footfall/traffic, increase AOV and basket size, acquire new names via CRM and build ongoing customer loyalty, across Retail/Spa/Salon doors and increasingly across the digital landscape.
  • Channel Marketing: Adapt the Global marketing calendar to maximise UK sales opportunities, drive customer retention and customer service excellence, increase AOV and develop customer acquisition programmes. Success will be measured through overall consumer engagement, sales and Brand KPIs in the UK Retail, Spa/Salon.
  • Assist in the creation of bespoke NPD, Core Product and Treatment/Services marketing plans to support the business objectives for each of the Third Party partners, plus leverage our flagship spa.
  • Events: Create and deliver on-counter event kits for the bricks and mortar estate, focusing on clear eventing KPIs and post-event reporting.
  • Channel Marketing
  • Assist Sales team & Marketing manager to maximise the sales and margin of all NPD, core and promotional activity within the Retail, Spa/Salon and the company channel, working on marketing activation to deliver budgeted commercial KPIs.
  • Work with Sales Teams and Senior Retail and Spa/Salon Marketing Manager to accurately understand and forecast for all NPD and promotional activations, including exclusive GWP, sampling, ad-hoc campaigns, and accurately managing FOC spend in-line with budget.
  • Liaise with the Sales and Field teams to execute the marketing plan to support Retailer national GWP, and retailer channel promotions, plus deliver pre-Christmas sell-through for Q3 seasonal campaign.
  • Ensure that all activation packs and sales tool kits for core, NPD and regular promotional activity, are activated across channels, on time, in budget, ensuring delivery of all promotional materials.
  • Assist in the creation of channel presentations.
  • Execute all local marketing activity for store openings, local ad-hoc requests, plus present learnings across top doors for ongoing improvement.
  • Channel Commercials
  • Track all marketing spend, raise POs/PORFs and update the channel marketing budgets in conjunction with Sales team & Senior Marketing manager.
  • Track the ROI of all promotional activities including promotions and events, implementing campaign evaluation for top tier launches or big A&P spend initiatives.
  • Monitor promotional inventory, providing analysis of sales performance vs. forecast and tracking of FOC spend.
  • Assist Sales team & Marketing manager to keep all pricing and codes up to date for all promotions and marketing assets.
  • Digital & CRM
  • Ensuring that key learnings from the team are shared with the Retail, Spa/Salon online teams.
  • Support Senior Marketing Manager with an effective spend plan, diverting A&P spend into digital and social activation, to elevate online performance.
  • Track CRM data collection, including analysis for GWP promotions, reporting on which doors are meeting their targets.
  • Assist the digital team to provide updated brand assets including photography and branded copy, with ongoing check-in process to manage brand exposure across Retail and Spa/Salon site
  • Ensure Spa, Salons are represented on the website with bold and British story-telling and premium content, to bring the Services part of the business to life digitally.
  • Work with Sales team & Senior Marketing manager to create a comprehensive CRM campaign by channel and assist in the creation of design briefs to be channeled through the CRM manager, with measurable return on investment KPIs in place.
  • Visual Merchandising
  • Assist Sales team & Marketing manager in reporting on channel visual adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Ensure that up to date planograms are communicated and implemented supporting key projects where required, e.g. brand refresh, new product innovation and promotional activity, working closely with the US team and Global VM team.
  • Work with external agencies to ensure the implementation of any lightbox changes according to the global marketing calendar, and minimise wasted costs through effective change-out strategy.
  • Profile
  • Experience of working in a retail, spa/salon, brand or trade marketing role
  • Must have interest in retail and service-led brand experiences
  • Creative thinker, to adopt new post CV19 world, finding new ways to engage customers and excite/delight
  • Strong relationship skills with a proven track record
  • Ideally candidate will have beauty experience, or keen interest in beauty
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience on determining return on investment and confidently managing marketing spend, with ability to track and report monthly on departmental budgets
  • Proficient in MS Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Previous Marekting experience or Marketing Degree
