Job Description

Creative United is looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager with a passion for music to lead on the planning and delivery of a range of activities that will increase the reach and impact of our Take it away scheme.About Take it awayTake it awayis one of our flagship programmes and is designed to get more people involved in learning and playing music. Backed by Arts Council England and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, the scheme provides interest free loans for the purchase of musical instrumentand associated equipment and services. Take it away is available through a network of 130 high street retailers across England and Northern Ireland. About the roleReporting directly to the Head of Digital, Marketing and Communications, you will be responsiblefor a wide range of activities including driving social media engagement, preparing and publishing online content, developing promotional partnerships and delivering events around the country. This role will suit someone who has experience of successfullymanaging multiple projects, often with competing priorities, to meet deadlines. Using a variety of digital tools to support the marketing needs of the organisation, you will have experience copywriting and editing for web, and an understanding of how to usemultiple social media platforms in order to grow public awareness and brand recognition. This will require working closely with other departments to devise B2B and B2C communication strategies and campaigns to help the organisation achieve its commercial andsocial impact targets.Throughout the year there will be opportunities to play an active role in the planning and coordination of online and in-person events, and to work with other members of the team to identify and develop new partnerships that can helpus generate income for the business and other development opportunities. This will require you to deploy your interpersonal skills to engage and negotiate with partners, venues and suppliers, and to represent the company at online and public facing events.Witha keen eye for detail, you will work with your colleagues to ensure that your marketing and communications campaigns are appropriately targeted, evaluated and reported on to the wider team.With at least 2 years working in a similar role, you will have an activeinterest music and/or the arts and creative industries.
