Market Risk Transformation by bringing deep Market Risk expertise to the portfolio of Market Risk Transformation projects. This is within the Traded Risk workstream that aims to develop aTraded Risk function with systems and capabilities to manage an evolving and complex traded and market risk environment which leverages industry leading analytic practices and technology to deliverregulatory models to support the Group strategy. Transformation: The role holder will work in Risk and Compliance Transformation (RCT) which manages the Change the Bank investment portfolio and associated transformation activity on behalf of and across the Risk and Compliance function globally. It is accountable for theglobal, cross functional change agenda, delivering mandatory/regulatory and strategic change programmes on behalf of Global Risk and Compliance, in partnership with regional teams and in support of business partner control needs. It designs, leads and deliverslarge scale, complex global change across multiple geographies and jurisdictions, impacting regions and business lines, including system, people and process changes, ensuring the change programmes adhere to the change standards laid out by and using mandatedtools and methods. Risk and Compliance Transformation is part of the Chief Operating Office (COO) sub function which is responsible for providing services to ensure the efficient and effective management and operational running of the function. Function: The Global Risk and Compliance function has responsibility for risk management covering retail and wholesale credit, market trading and treasury, operations, security and fraud risk, climate, risk models and risk strategy together with financial crime and compliance.This is done in support of regions and global lines of business.Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications :Knowledge Excellent knowledge of Market Risk Understanding of how change drives benefits for stakeholders Knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, political, competitors etc. Experience Proven track record within Market Risk Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective Demonstration of commerciality with strong financial acumen Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsorsCapabilities Delivery at Pace Engaging and influencing with Customers/Stakeholders/Colleagues Global Mindset Managing Change and Implementation Problem Solving & Critical Thinking Working in a dynamic environment Working ResponsiblyPrincipal Accountabilities: Value Creation·Influences and collaborates with stakeholder and delivery partners to drive the right project outcomes. Represents the project team at discussions regarding project prioritisation and to create buy-in for risk mitigation and contingency plan·Obtains sponsor and stakeholder buy in to plans, key commitments and changes against baseline as they arise·Obtains sponsor and stakeholder sign-off for deliverables, formally closes project, assesses stakeholder satisfaction and captures feedback. Captures key learns from each project and feeds back into methodologies and best practice·Articulates to stakeholders the targeted benefits and takes joint responsibility for benefits realisation·Manages the sponsor, working with them to ensure project deliverables are met·Contribute to the tracking of project risk, issues and dependencies to assess the impact on the benefit realisation for the project and takes action to minimise impact, actively challenging and removing obstacles·Promotes pace and energy within the team and leads by examplePrincipal Accountabilities: Operational Performance·Adheres to the Groups standard tools and methodologies, Change Framework and Clarity. There must be consistent use of agreed tools and methodologies to track progress, issues, risks, dependencies, planning value, funding and resources·Demonstrates effective financial skills to develop a detailed business case, including investments, detailed benefits and link to overall finances of the business·Develops and/or reviews estimates and estimating assumptions for the project’s schedule, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and past experience·Understands the non-financial risks and conduct impacts of change from the outset to enable execution of the change safely so that it delivers the sustainable outcomes we are targeting for our customers.·Manages and reports project risks, issues and dependencies·Collaborates with stakeholders to define the project strategy and develops a roadmap ensuring all constraints of time/resources are met.Major Challenges:·Defining the approach and dealing with complex requirements and unique projects – often one-off initiatives ·Understanding a complex infrastructure ·Management of stakeholders and sponsors ·Working with multiple delivery and business partner teams
