Job Description

BackgroundThis role sits under Wholesale Credit and Market Risk function, and is part of the Global Risk Organisation.The Traded Risk function monitors, evaluates and manages market and counterparty risks impacting across the Group. It is responsible for establishing the global risk management framework for Traded Risk, and plays a key role in ensuring that the Bank is compliant with current and future regulatory requirements relating to Traded Risks and their capitalisation. As outlined in the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Traded Risks role as risk and control owners forms part of the First Line of Defence. Their role as risk stewards forms part of the Second Line of Defence.Traded Risk is committed to establishing innovative and globally standardised risk solutions to service our stakeholders.The Traded Risk Analyst is a results-driven individual with a deep understanding of risk data, process, analysis and systems who aspires to innovate, improve and embed solutions that enable effective risk management in market and/or traded credit risk.Required skills

  • Market risk understanding - VaR, stress VaR, sensitivities(greeks). Ideally previous working experience in market risk team.
  • Regulatory understanding - FRTB and Basel 2.5 competency. Ideally candidate has some practical experience with these regulations and their implementation.
  • Technical knowledge - be able to work with big data sets with ease. Experience with Python, VBA and SQL(or MS Access) are highly desirable. Or at the very least candidate should be eager to learn these programing languages.
  • Also it would be beneficial if the candidate has participated and delivered E2E projects in market risk area, but not an absolute must.Soft skills:
  • We are looking for a hands on person with positive "can do" attitude. Perseverance and determination are key skills candidate needs to possess.
  • Candidate should be eager to learn new things and be open minded
  • Previous experience working with senior/difficult stakeholders is highly desirable, where the candidate was able to manage difficult situations and come up with positive outcomes.
