Job Description

Market Risk Business Analyst | London (hybrid) | Contract (Inside IR35) |Information Systems |6 MonthsMy esteemed client, a leading financial institution, is actively seeking a Market Risk Business Analyst. This role offers the opportunity to engage with state-of-the-art technology on a global scale, implement industry-leading delivery methodologies, anddeliver exceptional application and infrastructure services.As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing critical global risk systems, supporting market risk metrics, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder interactions.Your Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in overseeing major business and IT change initiatives within the finance sector.
  • Collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiently managing multiple concurrent workstreams and assignments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of critical market risk indicators, such as Greeks/sensitivities, VaR, and ES.
  • Adeptness with a variety of asset categories (e.g., fixed income, equities, derivatives).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Competency in using SQL.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools like Confluence and JIRA.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business users to elicit requirements, promoting stakeholder alignment as necessary.
  • Offer input and, if necessary, contribute to the creation of business requirement documents.
  • Develop comprehensive functional specifications.
  • Craft detailed interface specifications.
  • Enforce adherence to company and team documentation guidelines.
  • Aid in the creation of automated acceptance tests.
  • Perform manual testing when essential during system integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Contribute to defect prioritization as needed during UAT.
  • Engage in the 3rd line production support schedule.
