Job Description

Market Intelligence Analyst - London - Pharma/Life SciencesWe are seeking an experienced Market Intelligence Analyst for a major data and insight client in the East London area. This role is based in the Product Management team and will report into the Senior Product Manager.In this role the Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for studying the organisations market, customers and competitors.Market Intelligence Analyst - London - Pharma/Life SciencesWe are seeking an experienced Market Intelligence Analyst for a major data and insight client in the East London area. This role is based in the Product Management team and will report into the Senior Product Manager.In this role the Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for studying the organisations market, customers and competitors. You will build an understanding of the market conditions, competitive landscape and customers across our entire product portfolio. As well as looking at our existing market, this will involve the identification and investigation of potential new markets. They will also work closely with key potential and current customers to understand what they think about our products.Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a strong understanding of industry trends
  • Developing and understanding of the capabilities of product competitors
  • Deriving insights from client usage of in-market offerings to inform product strategy
  • Translate data into effective and useful market intelligence reports
  • Supporting other product management and business strategy activities
    • Key experiences and attributes required:
  • Proven experience as a Market Insight Analyst or Market Intelligence Analyst in a similar role or industry
  • Good understanding of the Pharma & Life Sciences sector (including wider ecosystem of financial services and consultancies), particularly focused on the use of commercial and financial information
  • Knowledge of online B2B information services, databases and analytics tools
  • Experience of working closely with a range of client personas and conducting probing conversations to understand their roles, key use cases, implicit needs and current solutions
  • Demonstrated strength in problem solving and analytics and turning data and information into insight and action
  • Strong customer focus and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadline constraints
  • A collaborative attitude and proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to articulate with strong presentation skills and excellent written communication abilities
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite (in particular, advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills) is essential.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI would be advantageous
    • The ideal candidate will have come from a pharma/life science background.
