Teneituranga -About the role:The Market Analyst reports to the Risk and Verification Manager and is part of a global network that supports immigration decision-making. The Risk and Verification networkworks in partnership with business groups, supporting them to deliver services accuratelyand efficiently. This allows Immigration New Zealand and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) to achieve its outcomes.You will maintain close relationships with risk and verification colleagues onshore and offshore to ensure optimal business outcomes and appropriate management of emerging and near-term risk. The Market Analyst will support a customer-centric approach and work closely with multiple teams across the Risk and Verification network and liaise with wider MBIE areas. They will provide accurate, high quality, environmental information outlining currenttrends, identified risks and visa outcome information.

  • You will act as a trusted advisor to the global Risk and Verification network, and stakeholders on current trends and complex immigration matters
  • You will support the Risk and Verification network to produce relevant market and regional information that can made available to immigration decision makers
  • You will maintain close relationships with risk and verification colleagues onshore and offshore to ensure optimal business outcomes can be achieved
  • Exemplifying excellent service delivery across Risk & Verifications offshore network will be a core focus of the role.

  • Wide-ranging knowledge of the immigration context from market in which you are applying for the role
  • Proven advanced skills in Excel: you can organise data, use advanced formulas, and create reports and visualisations
  • The ability to turn your findings and demonstrated problem analysis skills into easily understood products using well-developed research and writing skills.
  • An ability to convey content in a jargon-free way that engages and meets the needs of the audience
  • A sound understanding of risk management principles and experience in developing risk profiles and tools.
  • Experience identifying and mitigating actual and potential risks.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a high level of initiative, sound judgement, and discretion
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaborative abilities and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise with others
  • A strong customer focus
