Job Description

Management Accountant | VC backed SaaS Startup | Practice and Industry applicants welcomedHarvey John are partnering with this VC backed SaaS startup in their search for a new Group Accountant. With 50%+ year on year growth, this is a hugely exciting opportunity to join a small team reporting directly into the Finance Director.Running the day to day accounting side of the business, youll have a large degree of autonomy and should therefore have a hunger for success and progression in your role. Youll of course bring some experience to the table, but more important is your desire, motivation and energy.Progression opportunities are endless with x5 headcount and revenue growth in the last 4 years and so the role will suit a bright accountant looking to rapidly further their career.About the role...

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day accounting for all group companies, including A/R, A/P and bank reconciliations
  • Consolidation of group entities into monthly consolidated management accounts
  • Preparation of balance sheet schedules and reconciliations, on a monthly basis ready for audit
  • Drive continuous process improvements, including implementing new processes, systems and tools to enable a streamlined finance function
  • Ensure adherence to UK/USGAAP accounting standards, legislation and tax law at group and company level
  • Collaborate across the team to assist their development
  • Support the Finance Director with ad-hoc projects as and when required
    • About you...
  • Part/Newly Qualified (at least 2 years experience) ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP
  • You may be looking for your first move from Practice into a fast-paced business setting
  • A hands-on team player, equally happy administering day-to-day tasks and tackling longer term strategic initiatives
  • Prior accounting experience in a group environment beneficial
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Smart, analytical thinker who is enthusiastic about solving problems
  • Take ownership and initiative with an inquisitive mentality - youll always question the status quo
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to deliver accurate work to an outstanding quality in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and confident working with stakeholders including senior management
  • Strong academics, degree-educated, preferably in a business or finance related field
  • Prior Salesforce experience preferred
  • SaaS experience desirable but not essential
  • US GAAP experience desirable but not essential
