Job Description

The role would offer hybrid working (3 days a week in the office) and a collaborative, positive and collegiate working environment. Our client is searching for highly energetic and passionate people to join their team. If you are ambitious, an over-achieverand have an interest or passion for technology, start-ups and entrepreneurship and would like to immerse yourself in this citys start-up ecosystem, we would be keen to hear from you. Prior experience with the system NetSuite would be a bonus (but is not essential).Profile criteria:

  1. ACA / ACCA / CIMA studier who is part-qualified and is ideally nearing or at Finalist stage
  2. Solid management accounting experience with a good foundation of accounting skills and knowledge
  3. Someone who has the desire and ambition to grow their skills and experience as an accountant and is keen to make a positive impression, add value and take on various tasks
  4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  5. Ideally university educated but open if someone has studied up to A Levels (but should at least have good grades at this level) and has the necessary experience
  6. Availability immediately or on a short notice period
Role PurposeThe role reports to the Finance Manager and is responsible for the provision of support with the preparation of monthly management accounts, year-end audit and statutory reportingKey Accountabilities:
  • Preparing monthly accruals and prepayments based on P&L analysis
  • Preparing monthly payroll accounting journals for UK and internationalentities
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations (including bank reconciliation review)
  • Preparing commentaries on OPEX costs
  • Overseeing production of fixed assets register
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Review monthly, quarterly and annual National Statistics returns and other annual returns
  • Dealing with the annual audit - assisting in preparation of audit and providing requested information
  • Perform ad-hoc duties within the accounting department
