Job Description

We are currently partnering with an international law firm with their search for a Management Accountant to join their large finance hub on a department.

  • Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts, including P&Ls, balance sheet and cash flows.
  • Assisting in the month-end and year-end close process in order to ensure timely production of management accounts.
  • Assisting in production of KPI reports looking for variances to budget and investigating any issues
  • Assisting in production of daily and weekly performance information
  • Assisting in the management and control of the nominal ledger accounts;
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany, accounts payable and PAYE
  • Liaising with the Accounts Payable team with respect to expenses, invoice postings and balance sheet reconciliationsPreparation and maintenance of accruals and prepayments
  • Assisting in the maintenance of the fixed asset register
  • Review of monthly overhead expenditure reports and variance analysis looking for variances and following up with business support owners to investigate any issues and understand consequences on overheads budgets
Person specification
  • Part or fully qualified accountant ACCA / CIMA / ACA
  • Previous experience of working in the legal sector would be advantageous
  • Experience of 3e, Elite Enterprise OR Aderant would be advantageous
