Job Description

Equifind have teamed up with successful trading firm in London, who are looking for some extra accounting support with year-end fast approaching.This is a great opportunity for an all-round accountant to join an exciting business and assist them in this busy period. The business has a real SME feel to it, so your remit will be as broad as you like.Some key duties and responsibilities for this accountant position include:

  • Prepare the monthly reports for multiple entities
  • Completion and overview of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Working with the business to understand the P&L fluctuations and providing commentary on variances
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Work closely with the team over the audit period and assist with the preparation of the statutory accounts
  • Support the budget process
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of the VAT returns computations
  • Assist and manage client withdrawals, deposits and client queries
  • Manage the daily revenue and client KPI reporting
  • Assist with the month end MI reporting which includes variance analysis
  • Contribute to improving the financial processes & controls framework
  • Ad hoc tasks as and when required
Experience & Qualifications
  • A part qualified or newly accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Knowledge of reporting under IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Experience of working in the financial services sector
  • Experience of SAP would be advantageous
  • Used to working in a flexible and agile environment to meet deadlines

The company is a new player in the space with a management team that is proven with years of sector.There is a strong focus on technology, and this has been a key component in driving the business forward and offering a high customer experience.With offices across the globe, you will be joining an international business but there is still an intimate feel across its operations and all employees are asked to add value and give their say on making the business even better.The finance team has eight in the UK and works incredibly closely. You will also be involved with others across the group when required.The company operate a 3 day working week in the London office, with the remaining days WFH.SalaryThis exciting opportunity for an accountant will pay between £50-65k per annum, depending on your experience and background.The client will look at equivalent day rates as well.Ideally, to start within the next two weeks, so short notice periods only, and this has a real opportunity to become permanent if you like.
