Job Description

Cobalt is partnering with a remarkable UK Real Estate Investment Management who are one of the largest residential freeholders in the UK.The business is looking for a Management Accountant to support both the Fund Finance Manager and the Fund Management Accountant. The role will involve liaising with property managers, construction budget holders and other stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Year-end accounts
  • Check GL accounts to make sure entries posted to the correct account
  • Identify accounts that will be queried by the tax team
  • Prepare year-end audit file
  • Consult with audit team during the audit
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts for quarterly reporting
  • Post prepayments, accruals, depreciation, and inter company transactions
  • Work with the Investment, Development and Construction teams to monitor approved budgets and ensure that purchase orders are managed on Qube
  • Reconcile actuals to budget on a monthly basis and liaise with budget holders to investigate variances
  • Assist with quarterly VAT reporting
  • Assist with monthly CIS returns
About you
  • Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
  • Detailed orientated as figures & analysis must be correct and concise
  • Creative thinker - not afraid to offer a different perspective when tackling challenges
  • Excellent IT skills, Sage Line 50, Word and Strong Excel Skills (VLOOKUP, Formulas, Pivot tables etc.)
  • Prior work experience working within Real Estate
  • Ability to work with Qube is desirable but not essential
