Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: City of LondonPosition: Fixed term contract - This position is offered on a fixed term basis for up to 12 months.Working hours: Work pattern on a 24/7 rota/shift pattern over 28 days.Salary: Contract - £29.63 per hour via an Umbrella Company or 12-month fixed term contract - £41,360 per annum plus unsocial hours payment of £7,623 per annumWe are seeking Facilities Management Mechanical Maintenance Engineers for an exciting new opportunity to work for group of public spaces within the City of London. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and Repairs: Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. Diagnose equipment failures, coordinate repairs, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions. Energy Efficiency and Sustainability: Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability through system optimizations, equipment upgrades, and the integration of green technologies. Implement sustainability initiatives, such as renewableenergy solutions and waste reduction strategies. Compliance and Codes: Ensure that all mechanical systems and installations comply with relevant standards. Safety and Compliance: Prioritize safety in all mechanical system activities, ensuring that maintenance and repair work is carried out in accordance with safety protocols and guidelines. Manage environmental health and safety (EHS) considerations for mechanicalsystems. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to mechanical systems, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and equipment manuals. Prepare regular reports for facility management on the status, performance, and recommendationsrelated to mechanical systems. To assist with the supervision and actively participate in the installation of new services and modification of existing service. To be committed to always providing the highest level of customer service to both internal and external clients.Qualifications/Technical skills: Minimum of 5 years experience with facilities management and mechanical engineering. Must provide qualification in mechanical engineering. Previous relevant experience of working with mechanical engineering within a large complex facility. Experience using Word, Excel etc. Able to communicate both orally and in writing. Experience of large low temperature hot water systems, electro-pneumatic control systems and air conditioning/refrigeration & BEMS/Control systems is essential. Extensive and broad knowledge of large building services installations. Good communication skills. Hands on operational experience in electro-mechanical HVACS installations in large commercial buildings.Supervisor roles available £46,050 per annum plus unsocial hours payment of £8,654 per annum - (If you would like to hear more about the supervisor positions, please call me on )How to ApplyIf this position is of interest to you, please apply with your CV or email your CV to and call Natalie on .
