Job Description

The CompanyQuest have partnered with a leading Essex based retailer on the lookout for a talented Magento Developer to join their growing team. Having gone from strength to strength the business is looking for someone with several years of experience coding and designingsoftware within an eCommerce environment.The RoleThe Magento Developer will develop best in class eCommerce solutions on the Magento platform. You will be responsible for overseeing and taking ownership of the web-based architecture, which will include helping to build out the product roadmap, build newfeatures (both frontend and backend), liaise with 3rd parties, meet with management and become a technical stakeholder in all Magento projects.You should be adaptable and agile in your approach, prioritising business goals and delivering high-quality solutions.

  • Responsible for end-to-end support and enhancements for the Magento 2 platform
  • Deliver high-quality, secure code as well as conduct code reviews of other developers work.
  • Liaising with other project stakeholders to deliver best in class solutions
  • Integrating third party and platform supported apps.
  • Make and implement speed improvement suggestions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing for project and roadmap planning to ensure plans are technically executable.
  • Architect scalable and robust eCommerce solutions with attention to detail
  • Liaise with our designer to build well thought out user interfaces
  • Create comprehensive test plans and perform testing as required. Facilitate User Acceptance Testing.
  • Assist with website support issues: revenue, margin, product sales, average order value
  • Working with other developers to complete projects and tasks to improve the website.
  • Additional tasks may be required as authorised by your line manager from to time to meet the needs of the business.
Skills and Experience RequiredTo be successful in your application for the Magento Developer, you will have proven experience designing and delivering new technologies and functionalities within a Retailer or Agency environment.You will:
  • Have 3+ years work experience as a Magento Developer
  • Experienced in Magento 2 (Ideally certified)
  • Experience designing and building E-Commerce platforms
  • A solid understanding of both frontend and backend development practices.
  • Experience of designing scalable web-based architecture.
  • Must have experience with custom Google Analytics Integrations, Bespoke SEO requirements and a deep knowledge of Technical SEO Best Practices.
  • Degree level educated or experience to a similar level
