Job Description

Lead Machine Learning Engineer Remote Working Up to £77,000 Salary + Benefits OVERVIEWA data-driven tech company is looking to hire a lead machine learning engineer to join their growing team! You will be joining a team of strong Data Scientists, working with a cross-functional team including product owners, analysts, technologists, dataengineers, and more - all focused on providing the company with information and tools we can use to deliver excellent customer value. The Data Engineering Group works across all domains including pricing/promotion/personalization, channel platform & digitaladvertising, core business & customer modeling, manufacturing & supply chain, and End-to-End Customer Experience, to build thoughtfully architected, performant, scalable, software products using the Vistaprint Data Platform.As a machine learning engineer you will get to do the following but are not limited to;

  • Conceptualize and build data products that drive value for internal and external customers.
  • Write quality code that meets product requirements for functionality, SLA, and scale.
  • Design and Architect production-grade data products (for example product recommendation engines, prediction ML models, elasticity-based pricing algorithms or automatic text generation for customer care requests)
  • Technically lead an autonomous cross-functional team to deliver quality code by promoting acute programming and best practices.
  • Co-lead the team with the PO to implement agile practices that improve velocity and value delivered while keeping a healthy and safe team environment, handling stakeholder communications, evangelizing the adoption of the teams data products, leading dependencies,risks, and delivery roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with the team on a long-term roadmap.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEA successful Machine Learning Engineer will have the following:
  • Strong data handling skills with Spark, SQL and proficiency in coding with Python, Java, and Scala (at least one). Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Experience with ML libraries (Pytorch, Tensorflow, MLlib) and productionizing ML/deep learning models
  • Experience building APIs and microservices for serving models
  • Experience with cloud computing services -AWS
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
