Job Description

Lunch Time Cover - SEND Support

  • Based in Camden/Islington
  • Special Educational Needs and Disability
We are looking for Lunch Time Cover Workers to work in a SEND Schools based in Camden and Islington. You will be working between the hours of 11.45-1.15pm (1.5 hours per day). You will be responsible for overseeing the pupils lunchtime meals and activities.This will include supporting children with eating their food, coordinating activities outside, supervising their behaviour and assisting with personal care when needed.Experience is not necessary as training will be given. previous experience with children or adults with additional needs would be helpful. Our school supports children with various learning difficulties and disabilities, so we are looking for candidatesthat are compassionate, patient and calm.Job Responsibilities
  • Support pupils at lunchtime hours
  • Coordinate activities
  • Comfortable supporting pupils with various Learning Difficulties
  • Ability to engage and support pupils

Job Requirements
  • Experience of working as a Cover Support Worker or Care Assistant
  • Experience supporting young adults or adults with learning difficulties and disabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 5 days a week
  • Able to commit to hours between 11.45-1.15pm (1.5 hours per day)
  • Able to commit to 3-6 months
