Our client is a specialist team of freight forwarders who specialise in meeting the complex logistical requirements of large-scale projects for their longstanding client portfolio. Their core business is final mile logistics in dangerous and difficult toreach destinations in complex and volatile regions.Over many years, they have developed a reliable network of suppliers and agents with local and specialist knowledge in the movement, storage, handling and documentation requirements types of commodities handled in these challenging destinations. This isbuilt up from a global network of service providers, carriers and local agents to build up a significant name in this specialist field working in fragile and affected states.RoleWe are now looking for a Logistics Manager to oversee, develop and improve the in-country logistics solutions. You will oversee the owned and third-party warehouse and storage solutions worldwide.With responsibility for the income stream, operations, P&L and regular management reporting regarding warehousing.Leading and training internal and external teams in the correct usage of cargowise warehousing functionality as well as delegating work, coaching and performance managing to ensure that warehouse operations and all associated logistics are carried outto agreed standards You will support the Director in approaching prospective and existing clients, and develop SOPs and KPIs for the team to operate and measure performance against.Providing solutions and operating plans to meet and exceed clients expectations You will liaise with clients at a senior level, manage and deliver major international projects and develop in-country relationships with both clients and agents, travel is an expected part of this role.Experience If you would like to apply for this challenging role you will have significant level of freight forwarding/senior level logistics in an international organisation. With experience of working with the African/Middle East markets with a demonstratablenetwork of supplier networkYou will have dealt with final mile logistics in fragile, dangerous and difficult to reach destinations in complex and volatile regions.With experience in 3rd Party Warehousing operationsWith exposure to movements of Pharmaceutical and understand GDP and have dealt with clients in multiple target areas (4PL, Pharmaceuticals, Humanitarian, armoured vehicles and warehousing)Benefits Salary £65,000 to £90,000Pension contributory 5% - 10%25 days HolidayPrivate HealthcareFlexible with location, but there is ovesees travel monthly to one of the warehousing facilities based in the Middle East/West Africa
