Job Description

Working closely with the Customer Service Coordinator and the global supply base around the world to ensure a smooth import/export process for customer and distributor deliveries.Client DetailsOur client is a well established FMCG business based in South West London.DescriptionThe key responsibilities for the successful Logistics Coordinator will include:

  • Confirm shipping instructions and document requirements to Customer Service for Purchase Orders to be sent to the manufacturing facility.
  • Validate and approve draft shipping documents from the Forwarding Agent.
  • Validate and redirect all final documentation from Forwarding Agents & factories and send to customer.
  • Process Purchase Invoice from place of manufacture, review for accuracy, approve and input details into Navision for payment.
  • Proactively and regularly communicate the delivery timing to the customer.
  • Monitoring/tracking of shipments.
  • Liaising closely with 3rd party providers.
  • Act as first point of contact for customs and documentation queries.
  • Offer advice with regards to Incoterms and Mode of Transport.
    • ProfileThe successful Logistics Coordinator will have the following attributes:
  • Experience of International Shipping procedures (import & export), documentation and customs regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of INCOTERMS 2010 and 2020.
  • Understanding of recent changes relating to Brexit.
  • Knowledge of Navision system desirable.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proactive and able to take the initiative when necessary.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Team player.
  • Live within commutable distance of South West London (central location).
