Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer – London – Competitive Salary – Hybrid WorkingJob Title: Locum Housing Disrepair LawyerLocation: London: Hybrid Working with Court Attendance RequiredSalary: Negotiable Dependent Upon ExperienceExciting Opportunity with a Local Authority based in London: A forward thinking legal team within a distinguished London Local Authority, offering a chance to make a lasting impact within the Housing Disrepair Legal Team.5-Month Role with an Option to Extend: A rewarding opportunity with the option of extending the role in line with requirements. Working pattern is Hybrid with at least 1 day a week required in the office as well as Court Attendance.Challenging and Supportive Environment: Join anenthusiastic and motivated Housing Litigation team, where youll tackle a range of issues, including possession proceedings, anti-social behaviour, and disrepair, in a demanding yet supportivesetting.Candidate Requirements: Seeking a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEx / Chartered Legal Executive with a strong background in Housing Law, particularly in disrepair matters. Familiarity with relevant legislation, includingthe Housing Acts and Civil Procedure Rules is essential.Duties shall include:

  1. Disrepair Litigation: Provide succinct legal advice and assistance on a range of disrepair issues affecting residential properties and handling of disrepair cases from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with relevant legislationand regulations.
  2. Environmental Protection Act: A good working knowledge of EPA matters, addressing environmental concerns and ensuring legal compliance whilst collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address environmental challenges within housing contexts.
  3. Possessions Law: Undertake possession proceedings both in secure and temporary accommodation scenarios whilst staying abreast of changes in possession law and implementation of effective legal strategies to protect the rights and interestsof clients.
  4. Advocacy and Court Representation: Engage in court advocacy, presenting cases with clarity and precision and demonstrating proficiency in legal procedures.
  5. Legal Advice and Proactive Solutions: Provide clear and proactive legal advice to stakeholders, ensuring they are well-informed and confident in the legal process. As well as working both independently and part of a team on complex housinglitigation cases, demonstrating a proactive and solution-orientated approach.
