Team overviewThis is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a growing team comprising of a Director, an Associate Director and an Associate, supported by a graduate. The team sits between our commercial and residential development/investment valuationteams and carries out a varied and diverse range of commercial and residential development/investment valuation instructions throughout London and the UK (although predominantly South East), mainly for loan security purposes. As part of a national Valuationdivision comprising of Circa. 140 people, we are also connected to a wider national group of Valuation specialists of Circa. 450 people. This is evidencedby our career development opportunities, our focus on wellbeing and our support to enjoy a healthy work life balance.The Role & Key ResponsibilitiesThe vast majority of time will be spent undertaking loan security valuations on behalf of major lending organisations, being a range international investment banks, debt funds, alternative lenders and clearing banks. The types of properties valued by theteam include offices, industrial/logistics, retail (high street and shopping centres), retail warehousing and development sites, including a proportion of residential led developments/investments.The main responsibilities of this role will include: Providing valuation advice to clients for loan security, accounts and other purposes Producing Red Book valuation reports to a high standard Reporting to clients and senior colleagues Become a single point of contact to clients Adhere to internal processes, lender requirements and RICS regulations Build the professional business through networking internally and externally, developing close relationships with existing and new clients Develop and identify new business opportunities Keeping up to date with changing legislation and valuation practices Act as a role model and supervisor to rotational graduatesSkills, Knowledge and Experience MRICS qualified (essential) RICS Registered Valuer status (essential) 2 + years minimum Post Qualified Experience Experience in writing valuation reports for Red Book purposes (essential) Highly proficient in valuation software, specifically Argus Enterprise (essential) and Argus Developer (advantageous) Ability to utilise varying methods of valuation (essential) Experience of development valuations (advantageous) Familiar with lender specific requirements (advantageous) Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel essential) Good market knowledge & strong commercial awareness Ability to liaise and communicate well with clients, colleagues and other departments within Savills Well organised with good attention to detail Strong analytical, research and report writing skills Strategic approach to problem solving Ability to drive a substantial case load with limited supervision Autonomousable to take sole responsibility for instructions from start to finish Work quickly and efficiently to tight timescales Ability to generate new instructions and build on the existing client base Full, clean driving licence Team player
